Today I presented Wimba classroom to my classes. It was fun and exciting. We are all anticipating attending classes in the Wimba room.
What is Wimba?
Wimba is a suite of online communication tools. It includes a live virtual classroom with 2-way audio, video, interactive whiteboard, computer desktop sharing and chat. Other tools allow teachers to easily post audio podcasts, audio email, and voice announcements on the web. Higher education users also have course authoring and instant messaging tools.
The Utah Education Network licenses the tool for educational use within Utah?s public schools, colleges and universities.
